Spanish passport holders planning to visit Bali, Indonesia, should be aware of the following entry requirements:

Visa Requirements:

Visa on Arrival (VoA): Currently, visa exemptions for Spanish citizens are suspended. However, a Visa on Arrival is available at various entry points, including Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport. The VoA is valid for 30 days and can be extended once for an additional 30 days. The fee for the VoA is 500,000 Indonesian Rupiahs. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your date of entry and has at least one blank page. A return or onward ticket is also required.

Tourist Tax:

Bali Entry Tax: Since February 14, 2024, Bali imposes an entry tax of 150,000 IDR (approximately 10 EUR) on foreign tourists. This tax can be paid in advance through the "Love Bali" website or app, or upon arrival. Payment of this tax is mandatory regardless of prior travel within Indonesia.

Health Requirements:

Vaccinations: While there are no mandatory vaccinations for entry, it's recommended to be vaccinated against Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, and Typhoid. Travelers from Africa or South America who have resided there in the six months prior to entry must present a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate. For those planning to visit rural areas in regions like Riau, Jambi, Papua, Borneo, and Nusa Tenggara, malaria prophylaxis is advisable.

Passport Condition: Ensure your passport is in good condition. Authorities may deny entry to travelers with damaged passports or insufficient blank pages.

Overstay Penalties: Overstaying your visa can result in fines of 1,000,000 IDR (approximately 60 EUR) per day. Overstays exceeding 60 days may lead to detention and blacklisting.
