Travel requirements

Filipino nationals
  • Passport validity: Your passport must have a validity of 6 months when traveling internationally. ​

  • eTravel

    • Arrival in The Philippines: Required for Filipino and Foreign nationals.

    • Departure from The Philippines: Required for Filipino nationals only. 

​

  • OEC:  If you hold a temporary resident card, please verify your work contract and apply for your OEC at least one month before your flight. For further assistance, reach out to the migrant Workers Office one month ahead of your departure. 

​

  • Residence permit (Tarjeta de Residencia)

    • Renewal of Residence permit: If you have an Autorización de regreso because you are in the process of renewing your Spanish residence permit and , you are not allowed to transit in any country of the Schengen area. 

  • ​​Travel insurance: Travel insurance is not a requirement but it's highly encouraged.

​

  • Travel Tax: The following passengers are exempted from the payment of travel tax pursuant to Sec. 2 of PD 1183, as amended:

    • Overseas Filipino workers (OFW)

    • Filipino permanent residents abroad whose stay in the Philippines is less than one year

    • Infants (2 years and below)

    • Foreign tourists that stay for less than 1 year.

Foreign nationals
  • Passport validity: Your passport must have a validity of 6 months when traveling internationally. ​

​

  • eTravel

    • Arrival in The Philippines: Required for Filipino and Foreign nationals.

    • Departure from The Philippines: Not required for foreign nationals.

​

  • Visa: Foreign passport holders can stay up to 30 days visa free in The Philippines. 

    • Exemptions:

      • Foreign spouses and foreign children can stay up to 1 year visa free in The Philippines. 

        • REQUIREMENTS: 

          • Travel with the Filipino national spouse/parent

          • Show proof of relationship such as marriage/birth certificate​

      • Balikbayans (Former Filipinos) who only have a valid Foreign passport can stay up to 1 year visa free in The Philippines. 

        • REQUIREMENTS: 

          • Foreign passport with at least 6 months validity

          • Old/expired Philippine passport or Philippine birth certificate 

          • This includes foreign spouses and children traveling with the Balikbayan

  • Travel insurance: Travel insurance is not a requirement but it's highly encouraged.
