OFW Congress 2022

In celebration of the 124th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence and the 20th Anniversary of Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day, our team was at the 4th OFW CONGRESS to offer our services to the Filipino Community.

FITUR 2021

The Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT), in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, is leading the country’s participation in FITUR, the most important travel trade and consumer event in Spain to be held at the Feria de Madrid on May 19-23, 2021.

The event draws 11,040 companies from 165 countries and regions, 150,089 trade visitors and 111,089 visitors from the general public.

Despite the current pandemic challenges, the PDOT retains its presence in FITUR to network with the key Spanish trade counterparts and media supporters, and update them on the destinations and travel safety measures relative to the country’s reopening preparations and promotional plans. The Spanish tour operators are gearing up for the winter holiday programs specially to long-haul

sun-sea destinations including the Philippines.

The major activities include the booth /face-to-face meetings with the Spanish travel trade on May 19-21 (exclusive to the travel professionals), and consumer promotions on May 22 and 23 (open to the general public).

The PDOT will be having a video show, flair bartender exhibition and cocktail sampling (toned-down interaction due to health protocols), and raffle promo with the Turkish Airlines which will give away a dream vacation package to the Philippines including roundtrip international tickets, and 8-night stay with transfers and select tours in Manila, Puerto Princesa, El Nido and Bohol courtesy of Baron Travel, Annset Holidays, El Nido Resorts and Intas Destinations.

Spain is a very important source market for the Philippines in Europe. In 2019 (pre pandemic), almost 50,000 Spanish visitors went to the Philippines with year-on-year growth rate of 12.72%, ranking highest in growth in terms of Spanish travel to Southeast Asia.

The Spanish travellers go mainly for beach holidays, nature trips, cultural immersion, soft adventure, scuba diving as well as health and wellness covering Palawan, Siargao, The Cordilleras, Boracay, Cebu, Manila, Bohol, Bicol Region, among other most sought-after destinations.
