
Traveling to the Philippines with your pet
To bring a pet into the Philippines from abroad, you need to secure an Import certificate, which you can do online thru:

The requirements for a one-time importer can be found in BAI MC No. 43 series of 2020 (please see attached) but we have also listed them below for your easy reference:

Notarized Affidavit of Undertaking – BAI MC 43 ANNEX A for Filipinos or ANNEX C for foreigners (Note: ANNEX C does not need to be notarized. For Filipinos living and/or working abroad for a long time, you may attach any certification that you have been working abroad, including your passport, so that you will be allowed to accomplish Annex C.)

Proof of MICROCHIP NUMBER of the subject dog/s and/or cat/s

VACCINATION and DEWORMING RECORDS of the subject dog/s and/or cat/s (front page and inside page with updated vaccination and deworming

PHOTOGRAPH/S of the subject dog/s and/or cat/s

PET PASSPORT (personal details of the subject dog/s and/or cat/s), ONLY IF APPLICABLE

BIR-issued ID with TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER TIN for Filipinos (we can also accept any company ID, govt-issued document showing the TIN number); Scanned Passport for Foreigners.

Kindly make sure that the files are in PDF or JPG format and that each file is less than 5MB.

Kindly also take note of the following:

The maximum number of heads for one-time importation is 3 heads

The validity period of the import permit is only 60 days.

The details indicated in the SPSIC should be consistent with the details in the IVC/VHC issued by the
veterinary authorities of the exporting country (e.g. pet details and importer details).

The payment for the import permit can be done upon arrival at the Veterinary Quarantine office in the airport. Provided you have all the required documents, the animal/s can be released the same day.
Once you have secured an import permit, you may present it to the Veterinary Authority in the country of origin so that they may issue you an Export permit.
